Sector notes
What usually drives the specification.
Different sectors put pressure on different parts of a corrugated specification. Moisture, stacking height, courier handling, clearance around a delicate unit, labelling — each one changes what a sensible box looks like. The notes below say what tends to matter most in each context, so your request can start from the right question.
Packaging requirements vary according to product and handling conditions.
About this page
These are general packaging considerations, not a customer list. Nothing here describes work carried out for any named company, and no sector below should be read as an existing account or a case study.
Eight packaging contexts.

Food and Beverage
Configure for this sectorUsually decisive
Handling, moisture exposure and stacking conditions are usually the deciding factors. Any direct-food-contact requirement must be stated so it can be reviewed before quotation.
E-commerce and Retail
Configure for this sectorUsually decisive
Despatch boxes are typically specified around courier handling, unboxing presentation, and the cost of void fill.
Industrial and Manufacturing
Configure for this sectorUsually decisive
Component weight, edge crush and stacking height in storage generally drive the board specification.
Agriculture and Produce
Configure for this sectorUsually decisive
Ventilation, moisture and cold-chain conditions materially change what is suitable. State the storage environment when requesting quotation.
Electronics and Technology
Configure for this sectorUsually decisive
Clearance around the product and internal location of the unit are usually more important than outer box size alone.
Pharmaceutical and Healthcare
Configure for this sectorUsually decisive
Any regulatory, labelling or traceability requirement should be described in the request so it can be reviewed.
Apparel and Textiles
Configure for this sectorUsually decisive
Folded volume and presentation on opening tend to determine both the structure and the printing requirement.
Cosmetics and Personal Care
Configure for this sectorUsually decisive
Often a combination of an outer despatch box and an internal structure that holds the product in position.
Using these notes
Your product decides the box, not your industry.
A sector is a starting question
Two companies in the same sector can need very different boxes. The note tells you which question to answer first, not what the answer is.
Describe the conditions
Storage environment, stacking height, transport method and handling are worth more in a request than a sector label on its own.
Flag anything regulated
Direct food contact, pharmaceutical labelling and traceability requirements must be stated in the request so they can be reviewed before costing.
Unsure is acceptable
If none of the eight fits, describe the product and its journey in plain language. That is enough to begin a specification review.
